Technical Writer

Project Name: The Data Center Colocation and Migration Project

TASKS & DUTIES:
  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of application inventories across DEV, QA, and PROD environments.
  • Develop and review Bills of Materials (BOM) for applications prior to submission to I&O and governance bodies.
  • Create and standardize Runbooks, System Architecture Documents, and Security Accreditation artifacts.
  • Prepare and submit firewall rules for inbound and outbound communications.
  • Verify provisioned infrastructure components against approved architecture designs.
  • Establish documentation standards, templates, and governance processes.
  • Liaise with Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, and Operations teams to ensure documentation accuracy and compliance.

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • 7+ years of experience in technical writing within enterprise IT or infrastructure environments.
  • Strong understanding of multi-environment architecture (DEV, QA, PROD).
  • Proven experience preparing BOMs, system architecture documentation, and operational runbooks.
  • Solid knowledge of networking concepts (IP addressing, ports, protocols, firewalls).
  • Experience with security accreditation and compliance documentation.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise governance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Visio (or similar diagramming tools), and documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint).
  • Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
