Project Name: The Data Center Colocation and Migration Project

TASKS & DUTIES:

• Audit and validate existing CMDB records (servers, storage, network devices, and applications.).
• Map dependencies between infrastructure components.
• Validate discovered data against CMDB records.
• Set up automated discovery for post-move validation.
• Ensure configuration items (CIs) reflect the new data center environment post-move.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Working knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB architecture, including CI classes, relationships, and data models
• Familiarity with ServiceNow Discovery (MID Server, probes, sensors, patterns)
• Understanding of IT infrastructure components: servers, storage, network devices, and application tiers
• Ability to perform data audits and reconcile discovered data against existing CMDB records
• Basic understanding of dependency mapping and infrastructure topology
• Familiarity with ITIL concepts related to Configuration Management
• 1–2 years of experience with ServiceNow CMDB administration or configuration
• Hands-on exposure to ServiceNow Discovery in a lab or production environment
• Experience conducting data validation or audit activities in an ITSM context
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure concepts (physical or virtual environments)
