Cloud Support Project Manager

Project Manager for a commercial cloud services contract at Scott AFB, IL.  You will leverage your knowledge, skills, and experience in DoD programs and project management to deliver high quality products and services. In this role, you will be responsible for:  
  • Operational oversight of the project team including subcontractor staff, responsible for all aspects of project delivery
  • Developing, cultivating, and managing relationships with the client and delivering as scheduled and budgeted
  • Plan and execute projects according to established methodologies
  • Manage the full life cycle of multiple project tasks varying in level of effort, complexity, and resources required
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; provide weekly status updates including project performance metrics: work breakdown structures, required resources, risks/risk mitigation, estimated days required to complete individual tasks and overall project
  • Support strategic planning
Required Skills:
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • 3 Years of DoD IT Project Management Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high priority tasks
  • You need to have an understanding of Cloud Technology and how it is shaping the IT landscape.
  • You need to have a solid track record of managing projects to delivery on time and within budget while exemplifying the utmost attention to quality.
  • You have detailed knowledge and understanding of Federal Contracting with exposure to multiple clients.
  • You have the ability to align technical solutions with business needs and create innovative approaches to address client requirements.
  • You’re self-motivated with demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can work autonomously.
Desired Skills:
  • PMP certification and ability to achieve cloud and partner certifications and accreditations as required.
  • DoD transportation/logistics experience
  • Experience migrating legacy systems to AWS cloud
  • Scaled Agile Framework Environment (SAFe)
  • Familiarity with MS Project
  • You have the ability to lead diverse, integrated, deliverable-driven teams to accomplish the larger mission.
  • You have strong organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple tasks/initiatives with multiple deadlines.
  • You are a quick study; you have a unique ability to adapt to new environments and to assimilate information quickly.
  • You must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
